Can someone help me? I bought FSX but can't install it. When I insert DVD 1 all I get is a readme.txt that says:
"This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification."
Then I tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932849/en-us and that told me to uninstall all DVD players and CD burning software - which I've done and I still get the same problem.
Someone else must have experienced this. I've tried all the obvious things like looking for setup.exe but the disc doesn't seem to have any other files on!
Well im afraid i dont have the answer, but even i had problems in installing FSX. Although try shuting down your Fire wall and Anit virsus software during installation. (If you have Norton antivirsus i may be able to help futher; but not too sure).
My best advice is too visit my favourite Flight Sim community at http://www.flightsimworld.com/forums/ . Resgister Yourself there and post this same problem in the Flight Simulator Technical Discussion Section.
Its a fanstastic community site for FS simmers and everyone is Very helpful, but be sure to introduce your self first in the post (you can give your life history even lol) - as they are more likely to have a better reponse to someone who they can find something to talk about. lol
Best of Luck

P.s In the Forums over there im known as Strato-Cruizer
listen buddy i know how to fix it but its gonna
take some brains for a non expert guy just as you mentioned in computers. You
need to download a full version of PowerISO
3.8 you may be able to download off of torrents. After that you will need to
re-image the files on the flight simualtor x cd/dvd. This is gonna take a while
bt it works. By the way u re-image it onto another dvd so be sure u have a dvd
and a dvdrw working to do this or if u dont then maybe you can save it to your
computer and re-image it from there. But remember you are only suppose to be
working with PowerISO 3.8. Nothing else. Addios and then tell me how it goes. I
have done this and it works. It took me a while to figure it out.
