Hi Everyone;
I just wanted to know how you became a pilot. Im currently 14 years old and I am in year 9 and have currently made my option choice for your 10 which is History and I am planning to pick in year 10 Geography which will be for year 11.
Have I made any mistakes? If I am wrong; which options will I need?
After GCSE's what will I need to progress onwards in exact to become a pilot?
Edit: I am not sure in exact what my eye sight levels are, but I was told about half a year ago that I was [SLIGHTLY] short sighted; willt his affect my path into becoming a pilot?
Your picks for History and Geography are not bad choices if you are doing your pilot's licensing with your own money. Typically airlines with cadet programs (where they take you off the street and make you a pilot for their company) like to see Mathematics as a focus of study. It would be a good idea to start getting in contact with airlines offering this program or visit a few websites to see the minimum requirements.
As for the eyesight, I believe it has to be correctable to a certain level using glasses. You should be fine...
