Hi all, Just started here on PilotWeb and after some advice....
I am living in Bolton and want to start my PPL. What I would like to know is, does anyone have any experience of training at Barton Aerodrome, if so, what are the recommendations?
I also have the option of Liverpool and Manchester.
Why don't you do a bit of research into where your nearest schools are and go from there? Once you have a list you could try to contact them and arrange a visit for a look round and a chat, just to get a feel of the place and people.Whilst you're there, if you can, make sure to talk to any students you might come across and ask how their training is going and how they're enjoying it. It'll take some time but it'll be worth it to really get a sense of where you might be training. It could be something that comes into consideration when making your final choice - you might even be willing to pay a little more to ensure you're at a school with people you feel comfortable with.
I'm afraid I don't know the area or any of the flight schools well enough to give feedback on specific locations to use but this would be my suggestion. Good luck in your search!
