I'd like to take a training course to get the license to pilot helis. I have been looking through the web to a school where to take it, but it's hard to know which is good. Can anyone give me some guidance on good schools and well known instructors nearby C. London?
Schools around london are: Cabair in Elstree and Denham, Heliair in Denham, Helicopter Services in High Wycombe. but that's as close as you are gonna get to central london I'm afraid!!
I learnt with Cabair at Elstree and can recommend the instructors there. Passed my PPL(H) and happily flying myself now.
Elstree is probably your nearest base and is a good place to learn as you're near Luton and Heathrow airspace so can get experience of controlled airspace.
They provide helicopter tuition at Blackbushe, Cranfield, Elstree and Rochester. Their Denham school does not cater for helicopters at time of writing. See http://www.cabairflyingschools.com for details.

Sergio,
In my opinion Helicopter Services in the best, it is very professional but friendly and if you want an experienced instructor you've got Leon Smith CAA & FAA ATPL(H), IRE, TRE, FE, FI, IRI, TRI, FIC with over 17,000 flying hours. For more info go to www.heliserve.co.uk
