Hands up those who heard that 1000k was flown this spring in wave in Scotland — pretty impressive stuff. Thing is, where have the 750 days down south gone? The weather over the last few weeks has been nice, but....
I hope that this page is a sucess; I am sure that there are enough glider pilots out there to make this a lively glider forum.
I was amazed at the speed at which it all happened; the thread had only been going a couple of days.
I hadn't heard about the 1000k this spring; impressive stuff! Easier nowadays, of course, with both steadily improving glider technology and an unusually good weather conditions with 'spring coming earlier'.
