Headline: Very cold with clear spells for most.

This Evening and Tonight: Very cold for most with clear spells and a widespread frost. Cloud returning to eastern England before midnight and later spreading west. Chance of some light snow in eastern England. Far northwestern UK milder and windy with outbreaks of rain.

Wednesday: Largely dry and cold with sunny spells, although further light snow flurries possible in the southeast. Milder and windy across the far northwest and these conditions spreading gradually across Scotland.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Cold but bright in the southeast with hard overnight frosts. Milder and wetter towards the northwest and these conditions spreading southeast at times, bringing a risk of snow for some.
